Pocket Doors are my favorite type of door. The primary reason is that they way easier to install than a traditional door once you know how to do it. The toughest part about pocket doors is trimming them out. Here is a picture of the pocket doors I installed in our office.
I bought these doors at Home Depot. They come in a kit already assembled. All the instructions are in the package. In this case I have taken 2 pocket doors and created a double pocket door. These are 24" doors. Here is how I did it.
Frame out the door opening as per the instructions in the package. The opening for each door is typically double the width of the door itself, plus 1/2". So in this case, my opening was 48" for each door.
